The
Egyptian Banking Institute in the presence of
his Excellency, Dr. Farouk el Okda, chairman of
the Board of Directors and Governor of the
Central Bank of Egypt, banks' chairmen and
around 300 professionals from the banking and
financial sector, celebrated the achievement of
accreditation from the Accrediting Council for
Continuing Education and Training for a term of
5 years.
The
celebration was commenced by Dr. Hala El Said
speech, the Executive Director of the Egyptian
Banking Institute, were she
pointed out the importance of accreditation to
the institute and the Egyptian banking sector as
a whole. Following Dr. Hala, was Mr. Roger
Williams, Executive Director of the Accrediting
Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET);
he recognized the efforts exerted by the
Egyptian Banking Institute and affirmed that a 5
year term accreditation is the highest form
available. Then Dr. Farouk ascended the podium
where he restated the importance of
accreditation on the banking sector as a whole.
He also talked about EBI’s new initiative, the
building of an academy specialized in banking
studies. Finally, the celebration was ended by
the recognition of the accreditation team for
the efforts they have exerted throughout the
accreditation project. |
